St. Thomas Aquinas Parents Association (S.T.A.P.A.)
Mission Statement: Our organization is committed to supporting the school, its faculty and staff, and students through utilizing all our resources of time, treasure, and talents.
Last year our organization was able to raise over $40,000 through fundraising events such as Sally Foster, the International Food Fair, and our Annual Silent Auction. Over $33,000 of that went directly back to the school, with $5,000 going toward scholarship funds and almost $3,000 towards technology. We strive to provide each area of our school with the necessary tools and technology to provide our children with an enriched and fulfilling education.
STAPA was also able to add to our school donations by purchasing 2 Elmos and 3 Projectors, which were placed in classrooms and are now being used to enhance our childrens learning experiences.
Our organization would not be successful without the hard work and dedication of our STA families. We rely entirely on the families and friends of STA to help us reach our goals each year. This year we hope to surpass our previous goals and reach a new level of success. Along with our major fundraisers we are greatly focusing our attentions on our recycling program this year. Every family can help us raise money and earn valuable items for our school by participating in the Box Tops for Education, Campbells Labels for Education, Tyson Project A+, and Cartridges for Kids Programs.
As well as raising money to ease our schools budget, we do all that we can to support our teachers and show how much we appreciate them. We provide our teachers with gifts to enhance their classrooms and curriculum, as well as providing them with snacks and lunches for their meetings and special occasions. Money that you help us raise goes directly back to our school in more ways than you may think. Every dollar raised makes a difference that matters.
If you would like help finding the right volunteer position for you, please contact us or check out our volunteer opportunity page in the documents section. Whether you are a stay-at-home parent, work full time, or just simply have a hectic schedule, we have the right opportunity for you.
For more information on any of our recycling programs please go to the documents section to learn more about our recycling fundraisers as well as our recycling awareness efforts. As a way of giving back to our local community we support the Ronald McDonald House Charities by collecting pop top tabs.
